Overview

1inch is a decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem best known as a decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator that combines liquidity from multiple decentralized exchanges and market makers to find users better token-swap rates. It was founded by Sergej Kunz and Anton Bukov, who built the first version of the aggregator in 56 hours at an ETHGlobal hackathon in New York in May 2019.

The 1inch product suite has expanded well beyond its original aggregator into a broader ecosystem: 1inch Swap (token exchange across more than a dozen blockchain networks), the 1inch Wallet mobile app, a portfolio-tracking tool, a crypto spending card usable via Apple Pay and Google Pay, and a Business API suite for developers. Its Fusion protocol uses intent-based, Dutch-auction-style order execution, and the network is governed in part through the 1inch DAO and its 1INCH governance token, launched in December 2020.

1inch describes itself as a global, distributed community of engineers and designers rather than a company organized around a single headquarters, and its listed parent entity is Degensoft Ltd. According to its own site, the platform has processed over $814 billion in cumulative swap volume across more than 266 million swaps and over 27 million connected wallets.

Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
