Overview
Advance Intelligence Group is a Singapore-headquartered technology group founded in 2016 by Dong Shou, who serves as Co-Founder and Chairman of its ADVANCE.AI business. The group operates as an ecosystem of businesses spanning enterprise and consumer financial services: ADVANCE.AI provides digital identity verification, KYC/KYB, compliance, fraud prevention, and credit information software for banks, fintechs, and e-commerce platforms across Asia; Atome Financial runs the Atome buy-now-pay-later consumer finance platform; and Ginee offers e-commerce services software for merchants.
The group has raised capital across multiple rounds, including a $4 million Series A in August 2016 from GSR Venture Capital and Zhen Fund, an $80 million Series C in September 2019 from Pavilion Capital and Gaorong Capital, a Series D round exceeding $400 million in 2021 led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Warburg Pincus that valued the group at over $2 billion, and an $80 million round in May 2023 led by existing investors Warburg Pincus and Northstar Group that pushed total capital raised past $700 million. The group's backers also include Northstar, EDBI, Vision Plus Capital, GSR Ventures, and Pavilion Capital. In October 2021, Standard Chartered separately committed a $500 million financing facility to Atome to fund BNPL expansion across Southeast Asia, which the bank called its largest fintech investment to date.
As of 2026, Advance Intelligence Group remains a privately held company. Bloomberg reported in September 2026 that ride-hailing group Grab was in negotiations to acquire a controlling stake in Atome at a valuation of over $2 billion, though Grab, Atome, and Advance Intelligence Group all declined to comment and the companies cautioned the talks might not result in a deal. Atome Financial reported its first full-year profitability in 2024 and continued growing revenue in 2025.
