Overview

Bilt Technologies, operating as Bilt Rewards, is a New York-based financial technology company that runs a loyalty and payments platform built around rent and, more recently, mortgage payments. Founded by Ankur Jain and officially launched in June 2021, Bilt lets renters earn points on rent paid through the platform — historically without a transaction fee, something no other major card issuer offered on rent — and redeem those points for travel, dining, and other rewards. The company partners with large residential landlords and property managers so residents at participating buildings can enroll in the Bilt Rewards program and use the co-branded Bilt Mastercard. In January 2026 Bilt introduced "Bilt Card 2.0," a suite of three credit cards issued in partnership with Cardless, Fidem Financial and Column N.A. that extended points earning to mortgage payments for the first time, following the end of its original card partnership with Wells Fargo. Bilt has raised over $900 million in disclosed equity financing from investors including General Catalyst, GID, Left Lane Capital, Wells Fargo, Mastercard, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and United Wholesale Mortgage, reaching a $10.75 billion valuation in its July 2025 round.
