Overview
Bloomreach is a private marketing-technology company founded in 2009 by Raj De Datta and Ashutosh Garg in Mountain View, California. The company builds an AI-driven personalization platform for e-commerce and marketing teams, combining product discovery and search, email and marketing automation, and a customer data engine into a single system intended to let brands make real-time, individualized decisions across many customer-engagement channels rather than running one-size-fits-all campaigns.
Bloomreach grew in part through acquisitions: it acquired Hippo CMS, an open-source web content management company, in 2016, and acquired Exponea, a Slovakia-based customer data platform, in January 2021 in a deal that coincided with a $150 million funding round. The Exponea deal reportedly brought roughly 200 additional employees and 250 additional customers into Bloomreach, growing the combined company's total customer base to around 750 brands at the time.
The company describes its current product suite as centered on an AI engine (marketed as "Loomi") that reads customer behavior, loyalty data, and live catalog/inventory signals to personalize experiences across more than a dozen engagement channels. Bloomreach says it now serves more than 1,400 brands globally, including large retailers such as Albertsons, Bosch, and Puma, and remains privately held, having not pursued an IPO or been acquired by another company.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
