Overview

Calendly is a private, Atlanta-based scheduling and meeting-workflow platform founded in 2013 by Tope Awotona, who remains the company's CEO. The platform serves more than 50 million users across upwards of 240 countries, handling meeting scheduling, payments, meeting notes, follow-ups, and contact management for individual professionals and enterprise sales, recruiting, and customer-success teams.

Calendly raised its first outside capital in January 2021: a $350 million round led by OpenView Venture Partners and Iconiq, which valued the company at more than $3 billion. The company used the raise to expand beyond consumer scheduling into enterprise features, later acquiring recruiting-scheduling specialist Prelude in September 2022 to push further into talent-acquisition workflows. Through 2026, Calendly has continued expanding its product line with AI-driven features including a meeting note-taker and an AI scheduling assistant called Callie.
