Coda Payments is a Singapore-headquartered digital commerce and monetization company founded in 2011. It operates cross-border payment and distribution infrastructure for digital publishers, best known for its consumer-facing Codashop storefront and its Codapay payments processing product, alongside newer direct-to-consumer tools such as Coda Links and Custom Commerce.
The company serves more than 300 publisher clients, including major gaming studios such as Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, and Riot Games, connecting them to consumers across more than 70 markets through hundreds of local payment methods. In April 2022, growth investors Smash Capital, Insight Partners, and GIC invested US$690 million to acquire a minority stake in Coda Payments, with existing backers including Apis Growth Fund II retaining their positions.
Coda has continued to expand through acquisition and product launches, including its 2021 acquisition of mobile esports platform BAASH and its more recent acquisition of Recharge, a European prepaid payments platform, which was unified under the Coda brand. In May 2026, Coda Payments Pte. Ltd. received a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, formalizing its status as a licensed payments provider in its home market.
