Cyera is an AI-native data security company that gives enterprises visibility into where their sensitive data lives, how it is used, and how to keep it protected across cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, databases, and AI systems. Its platform is built around Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and has expanded into adjacent modules including Omni DLP for data loss prevention, Access Trail for data-access auditing, AI-SPM for shadow-AI discovery and governance, and AI Protect for blocking sensitive data leakage in AI interactions. The company was founded in 2021 by CEO Yotam Segev and CTO Tamar Bar-Ilan, both veterans of Israel's Unit 8200 cyber intelligence unit, alongside co-founder Yonatan Itay. Cyera is headquartered in New York City with a research and development center in Tel Aviv, Israel, and has grown rapidly, raising more than $2 billion in venture funding across seven rounds between 2021 and mid-2026 while its valuation rose from an early-stage company to a reported $12 billion.
