Overview

Dream Security is a Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity company that builds artificial-intelligence-based platforms to help governments and critical-infrastructure operators detect and respond to cyberattacks in real time. It was publicly launched in October 2022 by Shalev Hulio, the former chief executive of Israeli spyware maker NSO Group; Sebastian Kurz, the former chancellor of Austria; and Gil Dolev, founder and former chief executive of Israeli intelligence company Wayout Group. The company focuses on protecting national infrastructure — including energy, water, and healthcare systems — from nation-state cyber threats originating from Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China, and maintains offices in Tel Aviv, Vienna, and Abu Dhabi.

Dream raised an initial $20 million round led by Israeli-American venture capitalist Dovi Frances around its October 2022 launch. In February 2025 it announced a $100 million round led by Bain Capital Ventures at a $1.1 billion valuation, becoming one of Israel's first unicorns of that year, with participation from Group 11, Aleph, Tru Arrow Partners, and Abu Dhabi-based Tau Capital. Globes reported the company completed a further $45 million secondary financing round in August 2025.

In June 2026, Dream announced a $260 million round at a $3 billion valuation, led by Bicycle Capital and Group 11 with participation from Bain Capital Ventures, Antler, and Tru Arrow Partners — tripling its valuation in sixteen months as, per Startup Fortune, sovereign cybersecurity AI hardened into its own investment category. As of that announcement Dream employed about 350 people, roughly 300 of them in Israel, and CEO Shalev Hulio said the company's mission was rooted in the idea that governments should not have to depend on foreign-controlled technology to protect their data.
