About

DriveNets is a private Israeli networking infrastructure company founded in 2015 by Ido Susan and Hillel Kobrinsky. It builds disaggregated, cloud-native networking software — originally for telecom carrier networks (Network Cloud) and, more recently, for Ethernet-based AI data-center fabrics (Network Cloud-AI / AI Fabric) that connect large GPU clusters.

Overview

DriveNets is an Israeli networking infrastructure company founded in December 2015 by Ido Susan and Hillel Kobrinsky. Susan, the company's CEO, had previously co-founded Intucell, the inventor of Self-Optimizing Network technology, which Cisco acquired in 2013 for $475 million after Intucell had raised only $6 million. Kobrinsky, who serves as Chief Strategy Officer, had earlier co-founded web-conferencing company Interwise, acquired by AT&T. DriveNets operated in stealth mode, self-funded, for several years before emerging publicly in February 2019 with a $110 million Series A round.

Its original product, Network Cloud, is a disaggregated, cloud-native software platform that lets telecommunications and cloud providers build large-scale networks on standard, off-the-shelf white-box hardware instead of proprietary routers, and it was deployed as the core routing solution for AT&T's network. As demand for AI infrastructure accelerated, DriveNets extended the same disaggregated, software-defined approach to AI data-center networking with its Network Cloud-AI and AI Fabric products, positioning Ethernet-based fabrics as a high-performance alternative to InfiniBand for connecting large GPU clusters.

The company has raised roughly $1 billion in primary capital across four rounds: a $110 million Series A in February 2019, a $208 million Series B in January 2021, a $262 million Series C in August 2022, and a $410 million Series D in June 2026 that valued the company at $8.5 billion and brought AMD in as a strategic investor. Separately, in July 2025 AT&T purchased a stake directly from DriveNets employees, founders and existing investors for $650 million in a secondary transaction that did not add primary capital to the company.

Headquartered in Ra'anana, Israel, with additional offices in the United States, Japan and Romania, DriveNets reported roughly 619 employees worldwide as of March 2026, up from about 453 a year earlier. The company says it is cash-flow positive with over $1 billion in orders and project backlog, and its customers include AT&T, Comcast and KDDI.
