Overview
Lalamove is a Hong Kong-based logistics and delivery platform, founded in 2013 by Chow Shing-Yuk together with co-founders John H.K. Tang and Gary Hui. The company originally launched under the name EasyVan, connecting customers with drivers for same-day van-hailing and freight delivery, before rebranding globally to Lalamove.
The platform now operates in over 400 cities across roughly 15 markets, including mainland China (where it operates under the Huolala brand), Southeast Asia, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Bangladesh, the UAE and Germany, through its parent holding company Lalatech Holdings. In 2025 the platform reported 1.027 billion completed orders and global freight gross transaction value of $13.32 billion.
Lalatech Holdings has pursued a public listing for several years: it first filed confidentially for a U.S. IPO in June 2021, switched its target venue to Hong Kong by late 2022 amid the broader Chinese tech-listing crackdown, and filed its Hong Kong prospectus for a seventh time in April 2026, sponsored by Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities and JPMorgan Chase.
