Overview
Envision Group (Envision Energy) is a Chinese multinational green-technology company headquartered in Shanghai, founded in 2007 by Lei Zhang. What began as a wind-turbine manufacturer has grown into a diversified energy-systems platform spanning smart wind turbines, energy storage, an AI-enabled energy-orchestration operating system (EnOS), and green hydrogen/ammonia infrastructure, with operations across six continents. Envision holds a top-two global position in wind turbine installations and has been recognized as a Tier 1 Cleantech company by S&P Global. Its best-known subsidiary is Envision AESC, a global EV-battery manufacturer formed from Envision's 2018 acquisition of Nissan's battery unit (with NEC's Energy Devices division), which has been reported to be exploring its own Hong Kong IPO.
