Overview
Fluidstack is an AI cloud infrastructure company, founded in 2017 by Gary Wu and Jamie Cox as students at the University of Oxford, later joined by co-founder Cesar Maklary. The company describes its mission as accelerating the world's most ambitious AI projects by removing the bottlenecks to compute, partnering with leading AI labs, governments, and enterprises to deploy scaled infrastructure at speed. What began as a platform connecting owners of idle GPUs with AI researchers has grown into a builder and operator of large-scale AI data centers for customers including Anthropic, Meta, Mistral, Poolside and Black Forest Labs. In November 2025, Anthropic selected Fluidstack to deliver custom data centers in New York and Texas as part of a $50 billion U.S. infrastructure investment, and the following month Fluidstack relocated its global headquarters to New York City.
