Overview
DayOne is a Singapore-headquartered digital infrastructure provider that designs, builds, and operates data centers for hyperscalers and enterprise customers across Asia-Pacific and, increasingly, Europe. The company began life in 2022 as GDS International, formed to hold the data center assets and operations of Shanghai-listed GDS Holdings outside mainland China. Following roughly $1.9 billion raised across Series A and Series B rounds from investors including SoftBank Vision Fund, Citadel CEO Kenneth Griffin, Coatue Management, and Baupost Group, the company launched as an independent, rebranded entity called DayOne on January 1, 2025. DayOne pioneered the 'SIJORI' model linking Singapore, Johor (Malaysia), and Batam (Indonesia) into a cross-border digital infrastructure corridor, and has since expanded into Greater Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Finland, and Spain. The company has continued raising large private rounds, closing a $4.5 billion Series C in 2026 led by existing investors Coatue Management and Hillhouse Investment with new participation from Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund and others, bringing total equity raised since inception to roughly $6.4 billion. DayOne has reportedly been preparing a US IPO targeting a valuation of up to $20 billion.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
