Overview
Go1 is a Brisbane, Australia-based enterprise learning company founded in 2015 out of a Y Combinator cohort. The platform aggregates professional-development and compliance training content from hundreds of external publishers and creators into a single subscription, so that corporate learning and development teams can offer a broad course catalog without negotiating separate agreements with each content provider.
The company has raised money across several rounds from a mix of venture and strategic investors, including SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Salesforce Ventures, Microsoft's M12, AirTree Ventures, Madrona Venture Group, SEEK, Five Sigma and Tiger Global backers Scott Shleifer and John Curtius, among others. By mid-2022 Go1 said it had raised $400 million in total and reached a valuation of more than $2 billion, with roughly 5 million learners on its platform at that time; by 2023 Go1 said it had grown to 8 million users, with customers including Delta, Hays, Westpac and EDF.
Go1 has also grown by acquisition, buying French-Swiss corporate learning company Coorpacademy in April 2022 to expand into francophone markets, and Berlin-based speed-reading app Blinkist in May 2023 to add condensed book-summary content to its catalog, in a deal that included cash, shares, and additional equity issued to Blinkist's largest investor, Insight Partners.
