Overview
Hozon New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. (registered as Zhejiang Hezhong New Energy Automobile, doing business under the Neta Auto brand) is a Chinese electric-vehicle maker founded in October 2014 by automotive engineer Fang Yunzhou, a Chery veteran who did postdoctoral work at Tsinghua University.
The company built its early volume through B2B channels — ride-hailing fleets, car-sharing operators and government contracts — before broadening into direct-to-consumer EVs with models including the N01, V, U and S, and later expanding sales into Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and other overseas markets.
Once one of China's top-selling EV startups, Hozon has been in acute financial distress since 2024: a Hong Kong IPO application filed in June 2024 stalled, deliveries collapsed by 80–90% in early 2025, and in June 2025 the Jiaxing Intermediate People's Court accepted a creditor's petition to place the company into court-supervised bankruptcy restructuring, which remained unresolved as of March 2026.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
