Overview
Aridge — known as XPeng AeroHT until its October 2025 rebrand, and still tracked under its earlier Crunchbase name HT Aero — is a Guangzhou-based flying-car developer founded in 2013 by Zhao Deli and Wang Tan and majority-owned by XPeng Inc. (NYSE/HKEX: XPEV), whose Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng also chairs the unit. Its flagship product, the Land Aircraft Carrier, is a modular dual-mode vehicle pairing a six-wheel electric ground module with a detachable two-seat eVTOL flight module that separates for takeoff.
Aridge has raised roughly $1 billion in disclosed private equity across a $500 million-plus Series A (October 2021), a two-part Series B totaling $250 million (August 2024 and July 2025), and a nearly $200 million pre-IPO round (March 2026) from investors including IDG Capital, Sequoia China (HongShan), GL Ventures and GGV Capital. The company began batch trial production at its 120,000-square-meter Guangzhou assembly plant in late 2025, has logged more than 7,000 preorders including a 600-unit Middle East order, appointed its first CFO in mid-2025, and confidentially filed for a Hong Kong IPO in January 2026 with JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley as underwriters.
