Overview
iCIMS is a Holmdel, New Jersey-based talent acquisition software company founded in 2000 by Colin Day. Its Talent Cloud platform provides applicant tracking, candidate engagement and hiring workflow tools that employers use to source, screen and hire talent, and the company has grown through acquisitions including TextRecruit, Jibe, Opening.io, EasyRecrue, Altru, SkillSurvey, Candidate.ID and, most recently, Apli in 2025.
Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners acquired a majority stake in iCIMS in August 2018, with growth equity firm TA Associates adding an investment in August 2022. iCIMS has cycled through several chief executives since then — Steve Lucas, Brian Provost and Jason Edelboim — before naming Marc Thompson CEO in May 2026. After a 2024 restructuring that included layoffs, the company has leaned into AI, unveiling an Intelligent Hiring Platform strategy in September 2026 built around coordinated AI agents for sourcing, interview scheduling and hiring decisions.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
