Overview
Kling AI is the AI video-generation product and business unit of Kuaishou Technology, the Beijing-based short-video platform operator. Kuaishou launched the Kling video-generation model in beta in June 2024. By mid-2026 the product had grown into a large standalone business: in July 2026 Kuaishou raised nearly $3 billion in outside capital for Kling AI — the largest financing round ever completed by a developer of AI video models globally — valuing the unit at $18 billion post-money and formally launching it as an independently commercialized business ahead of a planned Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing.
