Overview
Lambda, founded in 2012 as Lambda Labs by twin brothers Stephen and Michael Balaban in San Jose, California, is an AI cloud-infrastructure company that brands itself "The Superintelligence Cloud." The company builds and operates large-scale GPU clusters and AI factories built on NVIDIA hardware, including H100, H200, and GB300 NVL72 systems, for training and running large AI models, and it also sells pre-built GPU workstations and servers. Lambda's customers include Fortune 500 companies, research institutions, startups, and U.S. government agencies, and it has worked with Microsoft for more than eight years, culminating in a multibillion-dollar infrastructure agreement announced in November 2025. Lambda has raised more than $3 billion in equity funding since its 2019 seed round, most recently a Series E led by TWG Global and the US Innovative Technology Fund in November 2025, and as of mid-2026 was in discussions about a further pre-IPO financing round as it positions itself as a leading competitor to CoreWeave in the AI compute infrastructure market.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
