Overview

Founded in 2014 by Martin Kissinger, Victoria van Lennep, Paul Pamment, and Jakob Schwarz, Lendable set out to replace slow, paperwork-heavy consumer lending with an automated, AI-driven underwriting process that could approve loans in minutes. The company is headquartered in London, England.

Lendable's core product is unsecured personal loans, offered directly and through partners including Post Office Limited and Asda Money in the UK. It has since extended its underwriting technology into a credit card product and a mobile-services offering under the Zable brand, and into car finance under the Autolend brand launched in 2021.

The company funds the loans it originates using capital from institutional investors, including asset-backed securitization and warehouse funding facilities, and by 2025 reported originating more than £10 billion in consumer credit since launch. Lendable turned profitable in 2017 and reported further profit and revenue growth in 2025.

Lendable expanded into the United States in 2021 and has stated plans, as of 2026, to expand into Mexico, alongside continued growth of its impact-investing fund business (Lendable Asset Management) that channels capital from development finance institutions into fintech lenders in emerging markets.
