Overview
Luma AI (operating as Luma, and legally Luma Labs, Inc.) was founded in 2021 by Amit Jain, Alex Yu, and Alberto Taiuti, initially building 3D-capture and NeRF (neural radiance field) technology before pivoting into generative video and multimodal foundation models.
The company's flagship consumer/creative product, Dream Machine, generates photorealistic video from text, image, or video prompts, and its Ray3 model line (Ray3, Ray3 Modify, Ray3.14, Ray3.2) added reasoning, HDR film-grade output, and frame-level creative control aimed at professional advertising and studio production workflows.
Luma has increasingly framed its work around 'world models' — systems trained on video, audio, and language that reason about motion, physics, and context — and in 2025-2026 expanded into a dedicated physical-AI lab and large-scale compute partnerships, including a 2-gigawatt AI supercluster ('Project Halo') being built with Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
