Overview
Moove is a mobility fintech founded in 2020 by Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi that provides revenue-based vehicle financing to ride-hailing, delivery, and other mobility entrepreneurs, using proprietary credit scoring built on drivers' platform earnings data rather than traditional credit bureaus. The company launched with 76 cars in Lagos, Nigeria, financing vehicle purchases with weekly repayments tied to drivers' Uber earnings, and has since expanded operations to 19 cities across six continents.
In January 2025, Moove acquired Brazil's Kovi, a vehicle-subscription software utility for ride-hailing and delivery drivers based in Sao Paulo, in an all-share transaction with undisclosed monetary value; the deal pushed Moove's annualized recurring revenue to $275 million, up from $115 million reported in March 2024. Kovi continues operating under its own brand in Brazil and Mexico.
More recently, Moove has extended its financing and fleet-operations model into autonomous-vehicle mobility, partnering with Waymo to support autonomous ride-hailing expansion (including in London) and describing itself as building infrastructure for both driver-led and autonomous transportation platforms. Uber is both a strategic partner and, since March 2024, an investor -- its first investment in an Africa-founded startup.
