About

Neko Health's exam is delivered at dedicated clinics rather than through a traditional doctor's office visit; the company has said roughly 80% of customers pre-pay for a follow-up scan within a year of their first visit, a figure it later updated to 75% pre-paying before leaving their first appointment.

Overview

Neko Health is a Stockholm-founded preventive-healthcare company that operates walk-in clinics offering a proprietary full-body scan: a roughly one-hour, radiation-free exam that combines optical, thermal and electrical sensors with bloodwork to generate what the company describes as millions of health data points per visit, screening for skin cancer, cardiovascular risk and other conditions. It was co-founded in 2018 by Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek and engineer Hjalmar Nilsonne, who serves as CEO while Ek chairs the company. Neko exited stealth and opened its first clinic in Stockholm in February 2023, opened a second clinic in London in September 2024, and has since raised three large venture rounds — a $65 million Series A (2023), a $260 million Series B at a $1.8 billion post-money valuation (January 2025), and a $700 million Series C at an approximately $7 billion post-money valuation (July 2026) — to fund clinical expansion, diagnostics development and a planned first U.S. clinic in Manhattan.
