Overview
Playlist is the parent brand that Mindbody introduced on June 4, 2025 to unite Mindbody, Booker and ClassPass under one holding company while each business kept operating independently, serving over 40,000 Mindbody-powered businesses and more than 73,000 ClassPass partners across 30-plus countries. Playlist is majority-owned by Vista Equity Partners, which took Mindbody private in a $1.9 billion deal in February 2019 and backed Mindbody's October 2021 acquisition of ClassPass alongside a $500 million strategic investment led by Sixth Street. On March 31, 2026, Playlist completed a merger with smart-fitness company EGYM, adding EGYM's connected gym equipment, AI-driven workout programming and Wellpass corporate-wellness business; the deal included $785 million in new equity led by Affinity Partners, with Vista Equity Partners, Temasek and L Catterton, and valued the combined enterprise at $7.5 billion. Playlist CEO and ClassPass founding chairman Fritz Lanman and EGYM co-founder Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer now serve as co-founders of the combined company.
