Plume Design, Inc. is a Palo Alto, California-based software company, founded in 2014, that sells a cloud platform to internet service providers for managing home WiFi, network intelligence and subscriber experience. Rather than selling directly to consumers, Plume works through more than 170 telecom and cable carriers worldwide — including Comcast, Charter, Liberty Global and Shaw Communications — who deploy its adaptive WiFi and self-optimizing network software as a managed service inside subscriber homes.

Plume raised a $270 million Series E led by Insight Partners in February 2021 at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation, followed roughly eight months later by a $300 million round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 in October 2021 that valued the company at $2.6 billion, bringing disclosed funding to roughly $697 million. In 2026 the company has continued expanding its ISP customer base — including a September 2026 deployment agreement with Mongolia's Mobinet — while building out its executive team and pushing further into AI-driven network security and customer engagement tools for carriers.
