Overview

Quest Global is a Singapore-headquartered, privately held engineering research and development (ER&D) services company founded in 1997 by Ajit Prabhu and Aravind Melligeri. It provides product engineering, digital engineering and lifecycle engineering services to clients in aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, healthcare and medical devices, hi-tech, rail and semiconductor industries, employing roughly 23,000 people across more than 20 countries and over 100 delivery centers.

The company has been backed by successive private equity investors -- Bain Capital, Advent International and GIC from 2016, ChrysCapital and True North from 2021, and The Carlyle Group since 2023 -- and in February 2026 took a minority investment from Hillhouse Investment Management at a reported $4.5 billion valuation. Quest Global has since hired banks for a roughly $1 billion IPO on Indian exchanges, with a draft prospectus expected around the end of 2026; as of September 2026 no draft prospectus has been filed and the company remains privately held.
