Rokid
Overview
Rokid is a Chinese augmented reality and artificial intelligence company, founded in Hangzhou in 2014, that designs AI-powered AR glasses and spatial computing hardware and software for both consumer and industrial use.
The company has brought 11 generations of AI and AR glasses to mass production, holds more than 300 patents from its in-house R&D, and says its products reach users in more than 100 countries. Its product lineup spans consumer smart glasses such as Rokid Glasses and Rokid Max, an AR spatial computing line, and industrial/enterprise hardware such as the Rokid Glass 2 and X-Craft industrial MR glasses, built on its own YodaOS operating system.
Rokid has drawn attention as a China-based competitor in the AR/spatial-computing space, including press coverage describing it as a domestic rival to Apple's Vision Pro. In January 2024 the company secured a government-backed funding round tied to establishing an industrial metaverse R&D hub in Hefei, and in 2025 its consumer Rokid Glasses set crowdfunding records on both Kickstarter and Taiwan's zeczec platform.
