Overview
SiEngine Technology is a Chinese automotive-grade and industrial semiconductor company that designs advanced chips spanning intelligent cockpit systems to autonomous driving applications. It was co-founded in 2018 by ECARX and Arm China and has since evolved into an independent automotive semiconductor enterprise, with ECARX remaining its largest shareholder.
SiEngine's flagship Longying series of system-on-chips powers in-vehicle cockpit and driving-fusion computing: its 7-nanometer Longying I chip (also marketed as the SE1000) has achieved global deployment across dozens of vehicle models, including Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co, and FAW Hongqi vehicles, while its newer 5-nanometer Longying II chip integrates cabin and driving functions along with built-in large language model capability. The company also produces a central gateway processor and automotive-grade MCU components, and integrates with ECARX's Antora central computing platforms and Flyme Auto operating system.
In 2025, SiEngine ranked first in China for domestic cockpit-chip shipments in passenger vehicles priced under RMB 400,000, and in mid-2026 it raised US$200 million in new equity capital from institutional investors to accelerate research and development, expand production capacity, and grow internationally.
