Overview

StarCharge (also known corporately as StarCharge Digital Energy Co., Ltd., and formerly Wanbang Digital Energy Co.) was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. The company provides electric vehicle charging hardware and software along with broader energy management and storage solutions, describing its mission as to "Electrify Mobility" and "Digitize Energy" through an integrated cloud-service-hardware platform.

StarCharge's product lines include DC fast chargers (including its Venus, Hydrus, Jupiter, Titan, Triton, Aries, Nova, and Nereus series), AC chargers (Artemis, Arc, Saturn, Juno), vehicle-to-grid (V2G) hardware such as its Halo bi-directional wallbox, and energy storage systems spanning utility-scale, commercial/industrial, and residential applications, supported by energy management components including EMS and BMS software.

By StarCharge's own account the company operates in more than 70 countries and regions with over 700,000 public EV charging points worldwide, and employs more than 5,000 people. In China specifically, StarCharge was reported to operate 451,000 public charging piles as of December 2023, ranking second nationally. The company has also expanded into microgrids and grid-scale energy storage, reporting over 300 microgrid projects deployed globally and receiving industry recognition for that business in 2026.
