Overview
Suno is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based artificial intelligence company that lets users generate original songs, complete with vocals and instrumentation, from text prompts. Founded in 2022 by Mikey Shulman, Georg Kucsko, Martin Camacho, and Keenan Freyberg, the company grew out of an earlier venture, Kimidori Music, and emerged from stealth publicly in December 2023.
Suno has raised over $775 million in disclosed venture funding, most recently a Series D of more than $400 million in June 2026 led by Bond Capital that valued the company at $5.4 billion post-money, up from a $2.45 billion valuation just seven months earlier in its November 2025 Series C.
The company has also settled AI-training copyright litigation with Warner Music Group, under which Suno retired all models trained on unlicensed music, launched new models trained on licensed Warner catalog material, and acquired Warner's Songkick concert-discovery platform. Rival Udio separately reached licensing settlements with both Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. Suno remains in active litigation with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment over its earlier, unlicensed training practices, and the American Federation of Musicians has separately sued UMG and Warner Music Group, arguing the labels' settlement terms shortchange working musicians.
As of mid-2026 Suno reported more than 2 million paid subscribers and roughly $300 million in annualized recurring revenue, out of a claimed user base exceeding 100 million. Job postings for roles such as Director of Accounting describe building 'toward IPO readiness,' though the company has not filed to go public and no timeline has been set.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
