Founded in 1991 (its legal entity, Access UK Ltd, was incorporated in 1989), the company grew through three successive private-equity ownership cycles — Lyceum Capital, then TA Associates from 2015, then Hg jointly with TA Associates from 2018 — and by 2022 had reached an enterprise value of roughly £9.2 billion in a further investment led by Hg and TA Associates alongside Singapore's GIC. The group's flagship product is Access Workspace, a SaaS platform that unifies its portfolio of business applications. As of early 2026 the company reported over £1.2 billion in annual revenue, more than 160,000 customers worldwide, and over 9,000 employees, and moved to a co-CEO leadership structure led by Chris Bayne and Jon Jorgensen.
