Overview
TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC was established on January 22, 2026 to satisfy the "qualified divestiture" that President Trump's September 25, 2025 executive order required in order for TikTok to keep operating in the United States. Vice President JD Vance put the value of the U.S. TikTok business at approximately $14 billion when the framework was announced.
The joint venture's ownership is split three ways: Oracle, Silver Lake, and MGX (Abu Dhabi's state-owned investment firm) form the managing investor group with a 15% stake each; a group of existing ByteDance investors, including Dell Family Office, Susquehanna International Group, Alpha Wave Partners, Revolution, Vastmere Strategic Investments, Via Nova, Virgo LI, and Xavier Niel's NJJ Capital, hold roughly 35.1% combined; and ByteDance itself retains 19.9%.
The Board named Adam Presser as the joint venture's first CEO. Presser had spent nearly four years at TikTok, most recently as head of operations and trust and safety, and was previously a senior executive at WarnerMedia. Will Farrell was named Chief Security Officer.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
