Overview
Transcarent is a Denver, Colorado-based health and care platform company founded in 2020 by CEO Glen Tullman, the former Executive Chairman and CEO of Livongo Health, through a merger with the consumer digital health company BridgeHealth. Transcarent operates what it calls the "One Place for Health and Care," an AI-enabled platform that gives employees of self-insured employers unbiased benefits navigation, clinical guidance, and access to high-value medical, pharmacy, and specialty care, aiming to remove cost and complexity from the U.S. employer-sponsored healthcare system. The company raised a $40 million Series A in October 2020, a $58 million Series B in June 2021, a $200 million Series C in January 2022 that made it a healthcare unicorn at a $1.62 billion valuation, and a $126 million Series D in May 2024 at a $2.2 billion valuation. In April 2025, Transcarent completed a $621 million all-cash acquisition of the previously Nasdaq-listed care navigation company Accolade, taking it private and expanding its combined footprint to more than 20 million members and over 1,700 employer and health plan clients; the transaction was financed by lead investor General Catalyst and CEO Glen Tullman's 62 Ventures. As of a May 2026 CNBC Disruptor 50 ranking (No. 12), Transcarent was reported to carry a cumulative funding figure of $957 million and a $3 billion valuation, a total that industry trackers appear to attribute in part to the financing behind the Accolade transaction rather than a single new itemized primary equity round. Transcarent remains privately held with no announced IPO plans as of this research.
