Overview
Vinted operates a peer-to-peer platform for buying, selling and swapping secondhand clothing and accessories. Founded in 2008 in Vilnius, Lithuania by Milda Mitkute and Justas Janauskas, the company has grown into a pan-European business operating in more than 25 markets.
Group CEO Thomas Plantenga, who joined as a strategy consultant in 2016 and later became chief executive, has expanded Vinted into an ecosystem of related businesses beyond the core resale platform, including in-platform shipping (Vinted Go) and payments (Vinted Pay). The core platform itself is run as its own business unit under CEO Adam Jay, who joined in 2022 from Expedia Group.
The company has been profitable since 2023 and reported 2025 revenue of EUR1.1 billion, up 38% year-over-year, on EUR10.8 billion of gross merchandise value, while generating EUR137 million in free cash flow.
Vinted has raised capital from investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Accel, Insight Partners, EQT Growth and TPG across a Series E and Series F round plus large secondary share sales, most recently reaching a roughly $9 billion (EUR8 billion) valuation in April 2026.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
