Overview
Wayflyer is a Dublin, Ireland-based fintech company founded in 2019 by Aidan Corbett and Jack Pierse, providing revenue-based financing — using invoice discounting and factoring rather than traditional equity or fixed-term loans — to fast-growing e-commerce and technology brands, primarily to fund inventory and marketing spend. Aidan Corbett remains Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, with John McAdoo as Chief Financial Officer and Deirdre MacCarthy as Chief Legal Officer and Head of People.
In disclosed equity terms, Wayflyer has raised at least $261 million: a $76 million Series A led by Left Lane Capital in May 2021, a $150 million Series B led by DST Global in February 2022 that valued the company at $1.6 billion and made it Ireland's sixth unicorn, and a $35 million Series B extension in June 2025 led by Balderton Capital. Separately, as a revenue-based lender, Wayflyer has also arranged large debt and forward-flow facilities to fund the capital it extends to merchants, including roughly $300 million and approximately €252 million in debt financing in 2022, a $250 million credit facility with ATLAS SP Partners in February 2026, and a $1.5 billion forward-flow agreement with Fortress Investment Group in July 2026. The company said it reached profitability in November 2023, was ranked Ireland's fastest-growing technology company by Deloitte in November 2024, selected Charlotte, North Carolina as its U.S. headquarters in October 2025, and acquired e-commerce analytics platform Conjura in June 2026. As of September 2026, Wayflyer remains privately held with no public IPO filing, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sanctions action identified.
