Overview
webAI is an Austin, Texas-based artificial intelligence company founded in 2019 by David Stout, Ethan Baird, and Tyler Mauer to build AI systems that run directly on end-user devices rather than in the cloud, aiming to address data-privacy, latency, and per-token cost concerns associated with cloud-based AI.
The company's platform includes webFrame, technology that divides large AI models into smaller components distributed across multiple Apple devices to simulate a GPU cluster; Navigator, a drag-and-drop tool for training custom AI models from camera and data inputs; and a device-native AI assistant that operates without connecting to external networks.
webAI has expanded from consumer and enterprise products into regulated and public-sector use cases, including aviation maintenance and compliance (webAI Frontline, deployed with airline and aircraft-manual customers), formal-logic reasoning models (TwiL-LM), and government and defense work such as an industry-partner role on the U.S. Army's Project ARIA for on-device 'sovereign AI' at the tactical edge.
Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
