Overview

WHOOP is a Boston-based wearable technology company founded in 2012 by Will Ahmed, John Capodilupo, and Aurelian Nicolae out of the Harvard Innovation Lab. The company's core product is a screenless wrist strap that continuously tracks physiological signals — including heart rate variability, sleep stages, and skin temperature — and translates them into strain, recovery, and sleep coaching delivered through a companion app. WHOOP operates on a subscription ("membership") model rather than a one-time hardware sale, with hardware typically bundled into annual or multi-year membership plans priced across several tiers, and an added-cost "Advanced Labs" tier that layers clinical blood-test data on top of wearable metrics. The company has expanded beyond individual consumers into enterprise and team offerings sold to corporations, sports teams, and healthcare organizations, and has signed high-profile partnerships including with Scuderia Ferrari HP's Formula One team. As of March 2026 WHOOP reported more than 2.5 million members and said 2025 annualized bookings reached roughly $1.10 billion. CEO Will Ahmed has said the company's March 2026 Series G round is expected to be its last private financing round ahead of a targeted initial public offering.

Private securities are speculative, illiquid, and involve risk of complete loss of principal. You should be prepared to hold private securities for an extended period; there is no assurance of a secondary market, an IPO, or other liquidity event. You are fully responsible for conducting your own due diligence. Pricing is indicative — nothing here is an offer of securities.
