Overview
LimX Dynamics is a Shenzhen, China-based robotics company founded in January 2022 that develops full-size humanoid and legged robots alongside the embodied-AI software stack used to train and control them. Its hardware line has progressed from an early wheeled-quadruped robot (W1) and research-oriented bipeds (P1, TRON 1, TRON 2) to full-size humanoids Oli (a general-purpose humanoid launched July 2025) and Luna (an interactive humanoid launched mid-2026).
Beyond hardware, LimX Dynamics builds software for embodied intelligence, including the COSA 'embodied agentic operating system,' the VGM robot-manipulation algorithm, and the FluxVLA training engine, which the company has open-sourced. The company was joined in late 2023 by Zhang Li, a Cisco veteran and former COO of autonomous-driving company WeRide, as co-founder and COO, and by Dr. Jia Pan, a tenured associate professor at the University of Hong Kong, as Chief Scientist, according to TechCrunch's coverage of the hire.
LimX Dynamics has raised capital across multiple rounds since its 2022 founding, most recently a $200 million Series B in February 2026 and a nearly $200 million Pre-IPO round in July 2026, the latter explicitly framed by the company as preparation for a future public listing. As of this research the company remains privately held and has not completed an IPO.
